NAD+ (nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide) is a coenzyme found in every cell you have. It carries the electrons your mitochondria turn into ATP — cellular energy — and it powers the enzymes that read and repair your DNA: sirtuins and PARPs. More than 500 enzymatic reactions depend on it. When NAD+ is abundant, cells run well. When it runs low, everything downstream slows.
Human tissue studies show NAD+ declining steadily with age — roughly half between young adulthood and your fifties. The mechanism is mapped: CD38, an enzyme that consumes NAD+, rises with age, while NAMPT, the enzyme that recycles it, falls. The visible side of that curve — slower recovery, lower baseline energy, foggier focus — is why NAD+ repletion became one of the most studied targets in longevity research.
Oral NAD+ precursors (NR, NMN) must survive the gut and the liver before they reach circulation — first-pass metabolism converts or clears most of the dose. Subcutaneous injection skips both: NAD+ enters systemic circulation directly, and clinical data on parenteral administration shows rapid, large rises in blood NAD+ levels. Same molecule — far more of it where it counts.

Customs: intra-EU orders are duty-free — the price at checkout is final. Outside the EU, your customs authority may collect import duties or taxes on arrival; these are set by your country, are not included in our prices, and are payable by the recipient. US orders under $800 generally clear duty-free (de minimis). Checkout warns you automatically if you select a non-EU country.

Refrigerator, 2–8 °C. Do not freeze. The pen tolerates short room-temperature excursions (that is what the 72-hour cold-chain packaging is for), but for anything beyond a week, keep it cold.
Practical tips: take the pen out ~20 minutes before use — room-temperature solution stings less. Do not leave it in a hot car or in direct sunlight. If a pen is accidentally left warm for several days, write us before using it and we will advise.
